Since I've come off the mountains I've been able to cycle very much faster ,yes I had some trouble with my gears and very worn out back tyre,but I managed to"limp" 60 kms to the Bike shop(John Cyclery) and spent a very pleasant afternoon talking to Rich Harper, the owner, about his cycling experiences across America, it was an encouraging and interesting afternoon. It seemed that my gear derailer had been bent so he was able to bend it back into place.....so on I cycled!!
I stayed at a cheap and dirty motel outside Huntington last night and woke up to an itching head and the sound of someone hammering on the wall or was it the bed posts or maybe they were just decorating!!! Anyway they stopped at about 3o'clock .......I think!?
It's still hot here but I've cycled about 870kms so far and I'm in Mount Sterling now and tomorrow Berea.
I want thank Jerry(a man I met in Owingsville) for pacing me the last 20 kms this evening .. I got to Mount Sterling in record time.

SvarSletDer er rigtig mange som følger med i din blog og det er et super hyggeligt fællesskab, at mødes og få en lille snak om, hvor du er nu og hvad du lige har lavet. Mormor er også med hver dag :-)og skal lige til at have lært og sende en mail/kommentar på bloggen.(det er også lidt irriterende at det er noget ulogisk at gå til.
